I am 18, and have been masturbating for many years since I was a child over the thought of putting a costume on, such as mascots and fur suits. This is an obvious
embarrassment to me, considering that I have never "jerked off" while thinking of a man or women. I am curious to know if there are actually people like me and with such interests.
First off, you are never alone when it comes to a fetish. There are lots of people out there who are into everything under the sun. Lots of people are into wearing leather, latex, rubber, women's clothing, opposite gender underwear, and even opposite gender masks. Also, when it comes to
masturbation, if you enjoy it and it isn't hurting anyone (including yourself) then go for it.
The only point of concern for me is that it seems that you masturbate to this fantasy and nothing else. I've always held the belief that a fetish is healthy when it's a "want" or "desire" but becomes questionable when it becomes a "need." For example, if women's feet turn you on, great. If you know that you enjoy looking at women's feet and masturbating to the thought, that's also great. It's healthy that you've been able to identify one of the things that arouses you sexually. However, it starts to become a problem is when you can't maintain an erection or
orgasm without the thought of women's feet. Once you need your fetish to perform sexually then it has begun to interfere with your "normal" sex life.
If this is the case, just be aware that it may become a growing problem as you get older. Try to expose yourself to other sexual stimuli and see if there are other interests for you. We have a whole list of reputable
