Could my girlfriend be pregnant?
Last weekend my girlfriend and I engaged in an act of foreplay. I had an uncomfortable position with my
penis so I moved down with my left hand to adjust. We then had a 6 hour break were the only time I touched myself was when I was using the bathroom, and after I used the bathroom I ran cold water over my hands. After this 6 hour period we were together and I fingered her over her underwear. We are worried that I might of had some pre-cum on my fingers and that some of the
sperm may have gotten into her and
impregnated her. I never actually touched her vagina, I only fingered her outside of her underwear. I am wondering if she could be pregnant.
As with everything, it depends on a number of factors. Sperm requires a warm, moist environment that is within a fairly narrow temperature range in order to survive. It can survive several days in a "perfect" environment such as a woman's vagina, but less that a few minutes out in the open.
Although most sperm will die within minutes outside the body, they can survive
as much as 20 minutes under certain circumstances. Be aware that sexually transmitted
diseases have been known to live for a longer period than a few hours
outside the body, so it might be best to be safe with your sex with condoms and
ensuring keeping yourself very clean-free before touching a female. Keep
informed about your sexual health to be careful, and
also check out foreplay and
sexual intercourse for more sex ideas.
Playing by the rule, "Better safe than sorry" is the best approach. In your case
it sounds like you played pretty safe and there's probably nothing to worry
about when it comes to pregnancy.
